Our achievements«Petersburg Tram-Mechanical Factory» OJSC («PTMF» OJSC) – leader in developing of new tram-car models in Russian Federation. The first six-axle car with low floor quantity more than 60%, the first low-floor eight-axle one-way and double-way (shuttle) cars with asynchronous motor drive, the first four-axle car with 40% of low floor quantity – all comprises the production of our factory. The most significant achievement of late years was development and producing of new tram-cars models: 71-152, 71-153, 71-154 è 71-154Ì. In December, 2006, «PTMF» OJSC finished test series for model 71-152 (LVS-2005) car and, by inter-departmental committee’s decision it was officially approved for exploitation on St. Petersburg’s streets. LVS-2005 – the first Russian six-axle articulated car with low floor quantity more than 60%, and corresponding to low floored cars of European level. On its base may be built four-, six-, and eight-axle cars for both-way traffic. The numerous novelties in this tram-car comprise modern appearance, improved saloon interior, the use of power-saving electric drive, reduction of total car’s mass and, as a consequence, its operation cost (including electric power), as well as capability of moving in autonomous mode, and advanced control methods (from on-board computer to joysticks for side mirrors adjusting). The emphasis falls on the needs of passengers with push-carts, disabled persons and pensioners – the cars provide wide doorways and accumulation platforms in low floor parts of the tram-car, where the floor height for mounting equals 35cm. The modular build of cars enables the use of LVS-2005 both for city tramlines exploitation and in projects for developing light rail-tracked transport (LRT) systems, meant for Russian and foreign cities. On May 5, 2007, «PTMF» OJSC received an official notice from FGU («Federal institute of industrial property of federal agency on intellectual property, patents and trademarks”) (ROSPATENT) with decision concerning granting of a Patent on Useful Model – “TRAM-CAR”, claim ¹ 2007113838/22 (015020). This event marked off the final act in more than one-year work of engineering, technologic, and other factory subdivisions, involved in designing articulated car of new generation, model 71-152, with elevated occupancy (LVS-2005). This tramcar passed all the acceptance trials complex including test run, then was accepted by inter-departmental committee, appointed by Ministry of Transport of Russia, and in May, 2007, placed on balance of Saint Petersburg’s «GORELEKTROTRANS». In conformity with government contract, by the end of 2007 on St. Petersburg lines appeared in all 5 low floored six-axle cars «PIONEER», model 71-152, with elevated occupancy. Now in streets of Northern capital 25 trams of the given model are already maintained. In accordance with acting on «PTMF» OJSC Development Program, providing the possibility of model series widening for challenging product, at the end of 2007, on the base of engineering solutions realized in six-axle tram-car (model 71-152 «PIONEER»), was made one-car version of four-axle tram-car LM-2008, model 71-153. On May 15, 2008, the factory completed, according to plan, a trial complex of this car, and then it was officially approved by Inter-departmental Committee (IDC) for exploitation on city’s streets. LM-2008 is a new 4-axle car with 40% low floor quantity. This car appears as the second stage in designing model series of new generation tram-cars produced by «PTMF» OJSC on the base of serial low floor car with elevated occupancy. New car’s design and its main elements resemble the familiar to St. Petersburg’s passengers tram-car «PIONEER» (LVS-2005). In summer 2008 this tram was presented to city authorities and in the second half of the year serial production of the car commenced. In the beginning of December 2008, «PTMF» OJSC completed two 71-153 (LM-2008) cars for «Gorelectrotrans» SUE (Saint Petersburg). This model is now running in four cities of the RF. One more achievement of 2008 became working out and manufacture of the tram car of model 71-154 (LVS-2009). This model is a custom-built tramcar specially designed by «PTMF» OJSC for Volgograd streetcar express system (Metrotram) pursuant to the municipal contract for delivery of two express tramcars signed in June 2008. Tramcar express is an advanced transportation system featuring improved transportation capacity, high car speed and enhanced safety achieved by a unique customized design of the street railway and vehicle itself according to a special technology. Although tramcar express is a technical continuation of regular streetcar system, it requires new spacious low-floor cars with sufficient number of doors and two cabs for two-way shuttle runs. As it was scheduled, on December 10, 2008 «PTMF» OJSC completed complex trials of 71-154 tramcar and the Interdepartmental Commission recommended it for serial production. 71-154 (LVS-2009) tram is a unique vehicle designed and manufactured by Saint-Petersburg streetcar makers and continues the series low-floor high-capacity trams by PTMF. Eight-axle three-unit car designed and manufactured in the shortest possible time combines cutting-edge technologies with seasoned technical solutions, components and materials that proved to be efficient in 71-152 and 71-153 models. The main difference between 71-154 and the previous models is that it may be used for two-way (shuttle) runs as it has two operator’s cabs and does not require turning circles in the end of the route. Passenger can enter and leave the car from either side depending on the location of platform. Elevation of the low floor of new PTMF cars is 350 mm.Low-floor share in 71-154 is 43%.Wide door openings on both sides of the car as well as passenger areas in the low-floor sections were made to speed up entraining/detraining process and improve transportation conditions for disabled persons and passengers with baby buggies.A standard car layout includes 50 seats and also contributes to enhanced transportation conditions. The car has eight 90 kW rotary field motors used to comply with the traction and power requirements set out by technical norms and regulations for tunnels with increased air drag.Multi-purpose bogie uses two-stage springing system and vibration damping rubberized 6230 mm BonaTrans wheels and provides 750 mm elevation compared to 900 mm elevation typical for streetcars currently manufactured in RF. In case of any failure, each car can move without exterior traction as it has four independent traction drive mechanisms - one four each bogie. It can move using three, two or even one bogie.Traction drive system is equipped with so-called blackbox used to collect video information related to the performance of traction drive systems. The car has an automatic locomotive alarm system designed to ensure automatic speed correction and perform interval train correction (ALS-ARS-ST). Ëîáîâûå è áîêîâûå ñòåêëà êàáèí âîäèòåëÿ èìåþò ýëåêòðîïîäîãðåâ. Exterior and interior panels are made of polymer materials that eliminate corrosion and extend service life of the car body. Advanced electric braking system keeps stopping distance within the set value, whereas mechanical brake applies at zero speed, thus minimizing brake shoe wear. Car anti-slipping and anti-skidding systems reduce rail impact and make slowdown process controllable under any circumstances. The car is equipped with hill holder system helpful at starting the tram on a slope. The car is equipped with the Lincoln automatic centralized lubrication system that minimizes maintenance efforts and ensures high-quality and timely lubrication of the car components and, therefore, extends service life of parts and mechanisms. The major appliances are placed on the car roof and in the technical compartment of the cab. The car wiring was accomplished using Harting connectors, which ensure highly reliable connections, smooth and easy interconnection and disconnection made within the circuit, minimize likelihood of incorrect assembly and do not require any maintenance. The car uses two collecting pantographs with electric drive by LEKOV Czech Company and modified and forced carriage adopted for overhead contact system currently used in Russia (overhead wiring load – 70 to 110N ± 10 N). Two Hubner coupling sets are installed on the car. The interior of the car is decorated with several lines of luminous tubes equipped with high power electric blower heaters used for its heating and ventilation, audio information system, scrolling text information panel and emergency door opening system. Additional fresh air inflow is achieved by the four roof hatches with built-in fans. The car is built with Tamware doors equipped with injury-preventing mechanism and anti-jam function. Operator’s control panel is based on the automated computer system with touch screen display. Video control system helps the operator to monitor the car and the driveway. Moreover, the blackbox of digital video surveillance system records video information that may be later extracted and analyzed and become helpful in case of accident or incident. Air conditioning system maintains required level of comfort and microclimate in the operator’s cabs. Two 71-154 cars are successfully operating on Metrotram lines in Volgograd. In August 2009, PMTF OJSC completed its latest model - 71-154Ì. 71-154Ì – is an 8-axle street car with asynchronous motor drive. A new product from PMTF low-floor model range, it was designed by Saint-Petersburg car builders in 2009. Therefore, having developed this class of tramcar the plant approached to construction of light rail transport (LRT). It was development of tramcar expresses projects that encouraged discussion on this mode of transport in Russia. Today, such projects are developed not only in Saint Petersburg, but also in Moscow, Voronezh, Volgograd and other cities. In Russia, there are yet no analogues to the cars, built at «PTMF». As a result of carried out work, it may be definitely said that «PTMF» OJSC have in its sales portfolio two modern base models of tram-car, that can satisfy the requirements of any Russian city, be it a megalopolis or a town. |
