Description

Metro cars are designed for passengers’ transportation on underground lines with capability of short-term surface emergence. The cars are made in 3 types:

  • head (H) with control cabin, asynchronous traction drive, screw compressor, and rechargeable battery;

  • intermediate (I), with  asynchronous traction drive and rechargeable battery;

  • trailer (T), equipped with electro-pneumatic brake only.  

4-car train is made up in the following order: H-I-T-H. The car number in a train may be increased up to 6 and 8, if using the inclusion of intermediate and trailer cars in a train.

Key advantages of this train, as compared to serial trains with AC traction drive, are as follows:

  • Less coupling weight, i.e. the train is arranged from three powered and one unpowered car; 

  • Asynchronous traction motors are now in use with lesser mass-parameter characteristics, more reliable and simple in operation, than direct current motors;

  • Traction electric drive is made on a modern elemental base and enables better energetic and dynamic characteristics: higher efficiency, operation speed, more smooth acceleration and deacceleration;

  • In breaking service there is provided a possibility of energy recuperation into power supply;

  • The car has a microprocessor control unit and minimal quantity of contact elements - these efficiently improve the reliability of equipment operation;

  • The car has an integrated system for equipment diagnosis which enables locoman and maintenance staff to carry out prompt monitoring of all elements;

  • The cars have a modern fire alarm system and automatic firefighting system for separate inflammable parts;

  • On train there are installed two compressors with improved compressed air purification and drying system;

  • Complex system set in use for registration of driving modes, applied by locoman, and operation of train equipment, as well as for keeping appropriate data and subsequent analyses at electro depot on automation-equipped working place;

  • The locoman’s cabin is provided with air conditioner;  

  • In car saloons there are installed anti-vandal seats;

  • The locoman’s cabin is made in compliance with modern ergonomic requirements; 

  • The cars have modern original interior;

  • More reliable radio communications system «Tetra»; 

  • New (for subway trains) video surveillance system is installed, designed for passenger platform traffic monitoring;

  • Complex digital information and talk-back system is installed.
